I enjoy experimenting with ingredients and turning simple ideas into creative food experiences. My latest creation, the Mushroom Tikki Burger, is a fresh twist on a traditional burger using grilled mushrooms instead of regular buns.
This dish combines flavor, texture, and presentation — something that defines many of the creations at EdibleArtByHema.
The Idea
I wanted to make a burger that felt lighter, vegetarian, and visually different. Using large mushrooms as the base added an earthy flavor and made the dish feel unique while still comforting and satisfying.
What’s Inside
- Grilled mushroom caps used as burger buns
- I used a flavorful vegetable cutlet/tikki ~ you may use any patty
- Melted pepper jack cheese blend from Trader Joes
- Maggi Hot N Sweet sauce ~ you may add a slice of fresh tomato or ketchup
Why I Loved Creating It
This recipe came together through simple experimentation in the kitchen — testing ingredients, balancing flavors, and focusing on presentation. The melted cheese, the warm tikki, and the mushroom layers created a delicious combination.
A Creative Addition to EdibleArtByHema
Every dish I create is part of exploring edible art and trying new ideas in vegetarian cooking. The Mushroom Tikki Burger is one of those fun experiments that turned into a recipe worth sharing.
